Revenue Bifurcation
Ardee Industries makes money mainly by recycling used lead-acid batteries and other lead scrap into pure lead and lead alloys, then selling these products.
They collect scrap (old batteries, lead pieces, etc.).
Process it in their factory in Andhra Pradesh (break, melt, purify, and mix with other metals if needed).
Sell the finished products as:
- Pure lead (main product, ~56% of sales in FY26)
- Lead alloys (like lead-calcium, lead-antimony, lead-tin, etc., ~27–43% of sales)
These are mostly bought by battery makers (the biggest customer is Amara Raja Energy & Mobility) for car batteries, inverters, UPS, solar storage, etc. They also sell some scrap and have growing exports (to Singapore, Switzerland, South Korea, etc.).
Almost all revenue (~87–90%) comes from selling these recycled lead products. It’s a classic circular-economy / recycling business.

Is Valuation Expensive?
At ~16x FY26 earnings, the valuation is neither deeply cheap nor extremely expensive for a high-growth, high-return small-cap recycling company. It appears to price in the strong growth and margin expansion already delivered, while leaving limited margin of safety for execution risks, commodity volatility, or any slowdown in growth.
Evaluation of P/E Ratio
Considering the period ended FY 2026 with an EPS of Rs. 3.32 from the last year, the resulting P/E ratio is 15.96x.

Ardee Industries IPO Lesser Known Facts
- Two criminal complaints are pending involving promoter Sandeep Aggarwal. Although the RHP initially states that there are no outstanding criminal litigations against the promoters, it subsequently discloses two pending criminal matters involving Sandeep Aggarwal. This appears to be an internal inconsistency in the RHP disclosure.
- Rahul Battery complaint against Sandeep Aggarwal: The owner of Rahul Battery filed a complaint against Sandeep Aggarwal and certain promoter-group members under multiple IPC sections, including cheating, criminal breach of trust, forgery, conspiracy and extortion. The complainant alleged aggregate losses of approximately ₹5 million. The Patna High Court stayed further proceedings in May 2024, but the matter remains pending.
- DGGI complaint involving alleged fake Input Tax Credit: The DGGI filed a complaint against Pilot Industries Limited, Sandeep Aggarwal and another promoter-group member, alleging wrongful Input Tax Credit of approximately ₹98.08 million. Although the adjudication order reportedly found the main allegations unsubstantiated, it confirmed a demand of around ₹3.79 million for allegedly inadmissible ITC.
- Direct tax proceeding against a promoter: One direct-tax proceeding involving a promoter was pending, with a quantifiable amount of approximately ₹0.13 million. The company itself also had two tax proceedings involving approximately ₹3.53 million.
- Penalties for secretarial-compliance failure: The company did not appoint a secretarial auditor for FY2024. Consequently, penalties of ₹0.20 million each were imposed on the company, Sandeep Aggarwal and Nikunj Aggarwal. The penalties were paid in January 2026.

Ardee Industries has demonstrated strong revenue and profit growth, improving operating cash flow and high return ratios. However, customer concentration, rising debt, commodity-price volatility, and pending legal matters remain key risks for investors. At a P/E of around 16x, the IPO appears fairly valued and may suit investors with a moderate-to-high risk appetite after reviewing the latest GMP and subscription data.
