IPO's Strengths
-
Large and rapidly expanding retail store network.
-
Scalable COCO, COFO and FOFO business models.
-
Strong presence in Tier II and Tier III and beyond cities.
-
Strong customer reach through local franchisee partnerships.
IPO's Weaknesses
-
Important parts like displays and batteries are still imported, which leaves the industry susceptible to supply shortages and price swings. This reliance limits margins when input costs rise and lowers pricing flexibility and long-term competitiveness. It also affects pricing flexibility at the retail level.
-
The budget and mid-range market is very competitive, and consumers in this market are price-conscious and seek out deals with the most features.
-
Due to the inadequate after-sales service infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas, consumers must travel great distances to obtain authorized repair facilities or standardized support, which lowers customer satisfaction and brand loyalty and forces them to stick with feature phones or replace them more frequently.
