Purple Style Labs IPO- Business Model
Primary revenue comes from Revenue from operations, which includes:
Sale of goods — The dominant stream. They buy products from Designer Brands (or produce a limited in-house) and resell them through the PPUS Omni-channel (Experience Centers + online + other channels). This is a principal/buy-sell model (not pure marketplace commission), as evidenced by high Purchases of stock-in-trade and Gross Profit margins of ~37–42%.
Sale of services — Logistics, ancillary services related to goods sales, and previously some consulting/styling/marketing/IT support services. Focus on these has been deliberately reduced.

Company Growth Trajectory
- GMV: Dip in FY2025 (strategic shift away from lower-value products) followed by strong recovery — +22.65% YoY in FY2026 to ₹7,216 Mn.
- Average Order Value (PPUS AOV): Strong upward trajectory — ₹45,513 (FY24) → ₹56,106 (FY25) → ₹75,505 (FY26). CAGR ~28.8% from FY24–26. Driven by deliberate premiumization (reducing low-value brands/products < ₹15k and focusing on higher-value ones). Experience Centers deliver significantly higher AOV than pure online (e.g., ~2.3x in India).
- Customer base optimized: Fewer total customers but higher contribution from top customers and rising average GMV per customer (₹67k → ₹83k → ₹108k). Repeat customer metrics and network effects (more brands attract more customers and vice versa) are strengthening.
- Physical expansion: Multiple Large Format Experience Centers opened in FY2026 in key luxury catchments.
- Category diversification: Growing menswear (CAGR ~17% in GMV), introduction/expansion of real jewellery.
- Cost discipline: Sales & marketing expenses as % of revenue declining (10.73% → 6.77% → 5.41%).
The Objective of the Issue
